House Concert Series

House Concert Series

Redtone Records is a collective of independent artists promoting cultural and community preservation in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization providing artists with financial, technical and operational support.

Bay Area arts and culture are at an inflection point. Artists are relocating out of the area because of the rising cost of living. Venues are closing because they can’t afford rent. Entire communities, along with their cultures and artists, are being displaced (Hunters Point, West Oakland, East Palo Alto).

In the music industry, the growth of streaming services has meant plummeting sales revenues for independent artists. DJs and digital music continue to replace musicians in the studio and on the stage. We are only beginning to glimpse the full impact of AI, which is poised to not only render musicians and singers irrelevant to the industry, but songwriters and visual artists as well.

Silicon Valley, along with the larger Bay Area, is the right place to demonstrate how a thriving economy can support a vibrant arts and culture scene rather than displace it.

A critical part of our strategy includes our house concert series, a snapshot of which can be seen in the video above. We are looking for additional hosts who want to bring the magic of great music into their homes and help us sustain a growing movement of artists, fans, patrons and more. In addition to building community, these concerts serve as opportunities for us to raise financial support for our artists, our East Palo Alto studio and our collective as a whole.

To discuss the possibility of hosting a house concert, or of supporting Redtone’s vision in other ways, please contact Justin Phipps at justin@redtonerecords.com. Redtone Records' Tax ID is 83-1901032.
